Hey folks! Lots of progress this past week. I have working dual wielding, two new maps, a lot more textures, and tons of scripting work finished. :)

Here are some renders of the shotgun and partially finished fusion pistol – btw if you’re wondering why the scratches are so strong on the shotgun, it’s because when I reduce the size of the texture, things are blured a tad, so if I use strong contrast, the detail is preserved.

Hello folks. Things have been a bit slow this week, but I did manage to get some important items finished. I modeled and textured a new shotgun and a new Fusion Pistol. I fixed some particle problems, and completely redid the main screen, buttons and all.

The programmer of dim3, Brian Barnes, kindly implemented native support for dual weilding, so I now have dual pistols and shotguns. I also have properly functioning fists.

My goal is to get a ton of maps done by Christmas, and then see about getting a release out.

Progress Report 12-8-08

Hey all! Many apologies for the long wait. I don’t really have much to talk about this week as I have been working on testing Marathon Infested. Unfortunately, my beta testers have encountered some pretty bad dim3 engine networking bugs, and I’ve been having a huge UV problem on some maps, so I wasn’t able to get any new screenshots today.

I will try to bring new screenshots and things next week. In the mean time, here’s some progress udpates:

  • Re-UV Mapped and textured the Marine.
  • Made a new netmap.
  • Added new weapon/character animations
  • Made new textures for the Ship set
  • Fixed a bunch of bugs
  • Added new sounds
  • And more…
