Progress Report 1-18-09

Sorry for the short post today folks. I’ve been doing a whole lot of work these days, and I didn’t really have the time to assemble renders or screenshots. Rest assured, it will pay off. :)

I will try to get something together in the way of media next week.

I have made a lot of progress though, I’ve added more weapons, more sounds, more textures, more maps, numerous script improvements and other things.

Hey folks! Lots of progress this past week. I have working dual wielding, two new maps, a lot more textures, and tons of scripting work finished. :)

Here are some renders of the shotgun and partially finished fusion pistol – btw if you’re wondering why the scratches are so strong on the shotgun, it’s because when I reduce the size of the texture, things are blured a tad, so if I use strong contrast, the detail is preserved.

Progress Report 12-21-08

Hello folks. Things have been a bit slow this week, but I did manage to get some important items finished. I modeled and textured a new shotgun and a new Fusion Pistol. I fixed some particle problems, and completely redid the main screen, buttons and all.

The programmer of dim3, Brian Barnes, kindly implemented native support for dual weilding, so I now have dual pistols and shotguns. I also have properly functioning fists.

My goal is to get a ton of maps done by Christmas, and then see about getting a release out.

I’ll cya next week. More screenshots and things coming soon.

Progress Report 11-21-08

Hello folks! First, some bad news, we had a long power outage today that went through nearly all of my work time, and as a result, I was unable to finish up the 3 things I needed to do, to get some MP screenshots released.

However, the good news is that I think I can get the necessary work done to get those screenshots out tomorrow! If I do get it all together, I will post them tomorrow evening.

Progress Report 10-22-08

Whoah! Whoah! Whoaaaah!

I feel like an idiot for forgetting to post the weekly news update. That was the whole point of this new site. Sorry folks, it shouldn’t happen again. Anyway, here’s the progress report:

Since the last update, I’ve:

  • Modeled, UV mapped, and 50% textured the Rocket Launcher
  • Drawn out the concepts for two new maps
  • Finished basic design for the demo multiplayer maps
  • Redid parts of the hand models
  • Rigged the fists model, and partially animated them
  • Fixed a ton of scripting problems

No pics or things to show right now, but this update came sort of unexpectedly, as I just rememered it.

Schedule for updates is every Friday or Saturday of every week.
