			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hello everyone! Today I bring you a screenshot of the brand new HUD!</p>
<p>As you can see, I have decided to go back to the traditional Marathon Infinity type HUD. There are a lot of advantages to having it this way. First, since the HUD is bigger, I can add things like separate ammunition and network score counters in the middle, instead of just using the built in network score counter. Since the HUD is kind of tall, it also enables me to place my weapons higher, which makes them look more centered, and better. Take a look!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hello folks! Two renders of the Hunter model and a progress report today.<br />
The most important part of the report is the &#8220;HUD overhaul&#8221;. I&#8217;m not sure if this new HUD will turn out well or not, but I will be sure to plenty of opinions on the matter before I make a decision. I will probably have the new HUD done by next week, it&#8217;s quite different, so reserve judgment until you hear my reasons. Then you can criticize freely.</p>
<p>Also, due to no little controversy on the matter, I have changed the hand textures to a black glove instead of skin. The thing is, many people in the Marathon community see the player as being no specific race due to the way his skin is an unusual color, and his hands look (to some) like he&#8217;s wearing gloves. To me, I see him as being white, not only because of the way he&#8217;s shown in-game, but also in Craig Mullins&#8217; art, and in Bungie-made art. But to prevent there being a problem, I gave him black gloves, which looks nice anyway. You&#8217;ll see that next week.</p>

<p>I don&#8217;t know if any of you remember or not, but I had originally intended to NOT include the Hunter or Enforcer in Marathon: Infested. My reasoning was that I would finish the game, and then release a pack later that would have the remaining monsters. I have since decided to not do it that way, and I am now working on the Hunter and Enforcer.</p>

<p>In other news, I&#8217;ve been working on gametypes, animations, SFX, and particles. I really want to make a video of Infested gameplay, so I&#8217;ll be working on getting that together as soon as the AI is steady enough.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hello folks! Very sorry for the much delayed update. I was having shader trouble, which has since been fixed (Yes!). I have some nice juicy screenshots featuring the new colors of the Pfhor fighter. Also, I&#8217;ve finished the 5th, and almost last survival map, and I have a render of that to show you. Lastly, I got my shaders all fixed, so while the map is mostly unchanged, you should be able to see a difference in the shaders on the weapons, pickups, and monsters.</p>
<p>I also screwed around with the number of pfhor on the map. No, you will not this many in-game, it&#8217;s too hardware intensive, but it does look cool for screenshots. Enjoy!</p>

<p>I have finished the 5th survival map. That means, I have only 1 special survival map to go, and all the maps for infested are a done deal. My next focus will be 100% animations, sfx, and just general work on all monsters. The great news on that end is that the guy scripting my monster AI is still making great progress, so hopefully these monsters will be plenty of fun to fight, and also a real challenge.</p>
<p>What I&#8217;ll do in the next few weeks is keep adding more and more different monsters to survival. I&#8217;ll also be working on the survival maps themselves. I want to get them fully &#8220;nodified&#8221;, and have good lighting and sounds and all that jazz. I&#8217;ll take screenshots of the action when I can.</p>
